An Artist's Nightly Lair

I'd like to dedicate this to my very good friend Mia, *Miarath whose been especially helpful to me in the last couple of months, and has always been a great and supportive long time friend here on dA.


Mia has told me before that she also likes tea, as many of my dA friends like tea!

<sup>I often can't help when I get those extra moments or bursts of creativity, and I must stop and do something about them.

Sometimes they are so sudden, that I do carry a small journal with me at all times, so that I can at least jot down the idea of it, so that I can [hopefully] expand on it later when I'm in a more appropriate place, if the feeling is STILL there. In such cases, I may be in the middle of the grocery store, or in a work-type setting, if you know what I mean.

It can be very difficult to shut off this [meaning MINE] artist brain of mine, it never shuts up, even though it is twisting and competing with all of the stresses of the struggles and challenges that I face in my mundane life.

So often times, it can be the quieter, darker, more peaceful moments of night, that the creativity flows more easily...

This is one depiction of one of my artistic "lairs"- a simple writing one, consisting of:

green tea in a very simple tea cup, a dried rose, a mini-tea light candle, a newish journal, and an old favourite pen.

Depending on what it is I am doing at the time, [or WHEN I am doing them]- writing, photography- putting them together on the computer, crafts, card making, drawing, painting, I have different "lairs" or environments that I have or create, and these places or spaces are very important to me!</sup>


Mia also writes. Mia also creates visual poetry. Mia creates a such a wide range of art and is so very talented!

I thought of Mia, for this image, and all she creates, and the spaces SHE creates things in.
