And a HUGE thank you to our loyal Members who have been submitting your fabulous Nature Work to our Group for a long time now.
Without you, we simply wouldn’t be here. :aww:

:iconwhiteflowerplz:

We usually have an ALL-MEMBERSHIP voting, as we believe this is the Group's Group, but once in a while, we have a few months during the year, where only the Admins. vote.

For APRIL, we had an ALL-Membership voting, and so we thank ALL of the Members and Admins., who took some time out to vote on what they thought were the best submissions for the month-
we appreciate their time and efforts!

:new: If you have not yet seen this, it would be a great idea to do so, since we do have a couple changes in our original general folders, and also since we have added NEW folders for 2013:

:note:
I apologize for a great error that I had made.  :hmm:
If you voted on the above folders between June 1st and June 5th,
the 'Scapes you voted for, were actually from APRIL, rather than MAY,
because in the original VOTERS' BLOG, about HOW TO VOTE, I forgot to change
the TITLE and the LINK from April to MAY, and so you all clicked into
APRIL'S FOLDER...
Blue-Koi did leave a comment at some point on that blog,
but I was off-line for a few days, and I rarely ever see comments when I am gone,
and then have to catch up.
But then  Blue-Koi also sent me a note, which I received
late on the 5th, and I immediately went to change the title AND LINK to MAY...

however, only those who voted on June 6th or 7th, got to vote in the correct month,
for the "All 'Scapes" folder, and so the easiest or quickest "action" I could take,
was to help out for MAY, in THAT folder, ONLY, by adding some votes of my own-
as I usually do NOT do the voting part of this monthly event. :aww:

I thought I should simply let you all know what happened, and I'm very sorry-
I've not made that sort of mistake before, but I've been making more mistakes in general lately...
just- lots going on.

Administrator Application for Unframed-NatureUnframed-Nature's Application for Administrative Position
Accepting Applications for Administrator Positions at Unframed-Nature is now: OPEN!
Introduction
Before you apply, please know that volunteering for a large and active group here on dA, such as Unframed-Nature is a real and true commitment, which will take up some of your time on at least a weekly basis, maybe more.
Unframed-Nature is special in many ways, but from an Administrative view point, it is very special because we have always had good luck with our current Administrators, most of which have been with the Group, as Administrators, for a very long time.
We are a very friendly Team, both with each other, and with the Members, as well. This means when we do have to decline works, we do give a reason, and we are friendly about it.  It means, that upon occasion if there is something that we disagree about within the Admin. Team, we disagree nic

:note: And remember, it is NOT as formal as it looks, and of course you do NOT need to know everything,
but it is a very helpful tool for us to assess who might know what. :aww:

:iconwhiteflowerplz: PERSONAL FOUNDER NEWS :iconwhiteflowerplz:
:note:
My LAST day on dA and the internet, for a while is: JUNE 30th.
I will be AWAY from: JULY 1st through JULY 18th.
I hope & plan to return on JULY 19th.

[This is a BIG reason, why I delayed the resuming of our Monthly Themes to August.
I didn't think it would be fair to start up again in July, and just leave it all to my fellow-Admins.,
despite the fact, that I find them very capable.]

The main reason for my absence is because, my parents are traveling a very long distance to visit me,
and I only see them once, maybe twice a year.

I am also taking a bit of a break, in general, from ALL of my work, schedules and routines, after my parents leave.

[I hope to have a chance to create & post one more Profile Journal, before I go, which may contain a few more details about this.]

Thank you ALL, for your patience and understanding!

:iconcuteheartzblue: Welcome to Unframed-Nature's Special Edition Article, Vol. 1 :iconcuteheartzblue:
:iconlovethesunshineplz: MAIN PURPOSE :iconlovethesunshineplz:
In Addition to our FIVE original folders that we've had since the beginning of 2012,
and the News Folder that we added in the middle of 2012,
we added FIVE Special Folders to our Group, at the beginning of 2013.
WHY DID WE DO THIS?
The main reason we did this, was to bring a deeper meaning to our Group, as far as our love and concerns for Nature.
With special news articles after every three months, which will reflect the work submitted to these folders, we are able to help share and spread awareness about particular issues that have an impact on Nature, which we would likely care about given the original idea for this group, to begin with.  If you joined this group it is because you love and care about Nature,

Next one due in JULY!

Please tell others about these special folders, so that more Group Members and Potential Members,
will have the benefit of submitting to them! :thanks:

:icondonatepointsgreenplz: Points for Our Group :icondonatepointsgreenplz:

First of all, Unframed-Nature can not thank enough our very generous Members, and Administrators alike, who have Donated and continue to Donate :points: Points to our Group! A few of them have done so, multiple times! :rose:

:iconrbheartplz:

We usually have TWO HUGE Contest per year: the first one hosted in the Spring [NH], which we just had,
and the next one in the Autumn... :aww:

We just finished our first one, and we are looking forward to the NEXT!

We also try to host Monthly Themes, many months of the year, which we treat as Mini-Contests!

Our NEXT Mini-Contest for the rest of the year will be in these months:
AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, & DECEMBER

:la:

And of course we would like to have enough :points: again, to renew our Super Group later in 2013...

To achieve the above in a great way, feel free to donate to our Group!

The Widget is HERE:

Our Co-Founder, Sandy Iluvbiscuit2 is our new "point person" and manager of Contest Promotions.
She will alert me to any Affiliate Groups who are also asking for their Contest WINNERS to be FEATURED,

 Hey Devious CSSkinners!
A great part of making an appealing web design, whether its a Website or a Journal article skin, is the Typography. Fonts play a big role in this. Many websites and journal skins had to resort to using common typefaces that were installed on all machines. With CSS3, several websites use the font-face property to implement the font file in their web pages. As this feature is not available for Journal skins, there is another way to use fancy fonts that dA has allowed to integrate into Journal Skins (it's not yet available for use

A Hello and a WelcomeBeing the lead administrator (aka founder position) here for the last two years have been, undoubtedly, the best deviantART days of my life. However, all good things must come to and end. With that said, I have spent the last few months searching for a new deviant to take my position as founder since my life is so drastically changing through marriage and pregnancy (due July 29th!). I just don't have the time necessary to continue doing everything that I do here.
So, without further ado, please welcome

Icesis was one of two amazing deviants I have been speaking with over the last couple of months. Amanda is an admin here, the lead on our Submissions Team, was recently promoted to a Head Admin position, and she has a great deal of experience on deviantART and in deviantART groups. She has taken the time to learn about this amazing group we all call home and is stepping into the position of Founder. Please give Amanda, our new founder, your wa

"When is the best time to plant a tree? Twenty years ago. The second best time? Today."
- Chinese proverb
2014: This is the 3rd year of the project. There are many people supporting it, featuring it in their journal and offering art. BUT... There have been NO trees planted for it in the last year (I don't count mine). So, instead of talking about it, how about getting up and actually planting a tree, if you are able to? There is a lot of wonderful art waiting for you as a reward!
Trees are important, valuable and necessary to our very existence. It's not too hard to believe that, without trees we humans would not exist on this beautiful planet. Trees are the largest and longest living organisms on earth. To grow tall the tree has become a miracle of engineering and a complex chemical factory. It is able to take water and
