She was a ballet dancer for six years, and learned some of a couple other dance forms, too.

Seniority Announcements - January 2013
This article marks the latest additions to the dizzy height of Senior members in our community. With just over 1000 deviants holding the highly saught after ` -- it's clearly a moment that deserves recognition.

So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Some have gained Seniority as a thank you for their time spent as a Volunteer, or to recognise their contribution to a particular project or collaborative action. Some have gained Seniority because of their community spirit, providing help and assistance to many other deviants and taking time out to promote the work of others in the community. 
Some people have received Seniority because of their artistic endevours, having a positive influence on their peers by sharing resources, providing constructive criticism and by being a voice that stands out above the many other
This is a humbling honour in which I seem unable to express with the right words to reflect my feelings.
I've been on dA for nearly five years... I just know this is a rather unique surprise for me.

I do want to also thank those involved with suggesting or nominated me... it is absolutely beyond kind and generous, that anyone would think of me.

I also appreciate #dAWishingWell for their ongoing instrumental efforts in this area, with the monthly nomination journals, and with helping to fulfill the wishes of those who actually make the wish to become a Senior.

I want to CONGRATULATE all of the other new Seniors!!  I am even more humbled when I realize what great deviants they are!





Personal NOTE

I will be away for much of February. I will be traveling by plane from here in Oregon to the southern most part of Arizona.
My mom is having her 3rd back surgery.  
This time they will be placing a rod through the full length of her spine, from tailbone to neck.
It is also worrisome, because with her past back surgeries, she has had trouble coming out of the anesthesia, due to the heart conditions she's had since her twenties, and this 3rd back surgery is far more involved and invasive, and will take much longer- about five hours! So she'll need to be under the anesthesia a LOT longer.
But, if she does not have the surgery, she'll be in a wheel chair, permanently, in less than a year, and she doesn't want to do that.
She's living in constant pain with her back, both legs, and both hips, and they hope this may help at least 50%, and prevent being wheelchair bound.
I am going there to take care of her for about two weeks, and to relieve my dad, who will care for her immediately.
It will be difficult for him, given his own issues, so I will be there to take over.

My last day on dA will be: Monday, February 4th
and I plan to return on: Thursday, February 21st

But, depending on how things are going, I MIGHT be able to check dA once or twice while I am there. But I won't be able to do anything major, like work on any news articles, or projects- but perhaps check notes, deviations, other messages, and see how my groups are going, IF that. So, we'll see.
Obviously, my mom and my purpose for being there is priority.

I do the photoshoots of their animals for adoptions for "Adopt-a-Pets" and "Pets-of-the-Week" for the newspapers, plus I work on the photos for the animals and upload them to their page at Petfinder.com. Darker than the NightI can't breathe. Where am I? How did I come here?

The last thing I remember is that I went to bed like every evening, having a few precious moments for myself before I closed my eyes. I always loved looking outside my window, taking in the fresh evening air. I always dreamed of another, better life.

Now I am here. I can't think clearly. I feel like one of those pitiful creatures wizards keep inside tanks in their laboratories to experiment with. The noises, like an army of humming bumblebees, like a distant thunderstorm yet different, they scare me. The flickering lights cutting through the blackness with their bright colors, they remind me




















HerHer face was just a series of pixelated dots
That I would try to piece together in darkness.
Her hair was short, no long...
She had glasses that I know for sure.
She had a smile of pure gold
And a heart that shown bright
As if she were being basked in sunlight.
Her eyes large and empty like vast seas
Brown murky with mud, delicate.
Her lips were tinted with essence of roses
Soft, smooth, lines twisting, sickened sweetness.
