Since the beginning of January 2012, we’ve grown just over 1,500 Members!
That means, in one year, we’ve grown between 125 and 150 Members per month!

We usually have an ALL-MEMBERSHIP voting, as we believe this is the Group's Group, but once in a while, we will have a few months during the year, where only the Admins. vote.

Below you will find our Group's New FAQ, New Folder Rules, and New Folders for 2013.
This Group News Article, intends to contain everything you need to know, in order to understand what we are about at Unframed-Nature, and what types of art work we are looking for, in each one of our folders.
We have made a few changes to our current folders, in order to hopefully clarify a few issues we've had during the past year, and we've added a few NEW folders, in hopes to give more meaning to our group, with both a
I tried to place a "Table of Contents" or "Bookmarks" at the top, so that there would be clickable links to take you to the section you would need, whenever you continued to refer to this throughout the year, so that you wouldn't have to scroll through the length of it, each time.
However, I found out that dA does not support the HTML code in order to do this.

At least the inside of each gallery folder has all the information and rules needed, for your convenience, and the convenience of our Admins.


Let’s continue to submit our own BEST QUALITY work, enjoy it, improve upon it, enjoy the work of others, and Nature in general. It’s what it’s all about-
combining our art with our love of Nature, and coming together under that commonality!

From: December 2012's THEME FOLDER: Decorated Holiday TREES!

Thank you to ALL of the participants who submitted a decorated Holiday Tree!
They were just beautiful!


We had twenty-two Members who participated, and I think that's GREAT considering it was a sort of unique theme to have for our Group.

Additionally, as you may recall from reading about this theme, this theme was really just for fun.
There was no announcement of placements with any kind of prizes, which is often what turns our themes into small Mini-Contests.

So for this theme, a feature of ALL the participants will be included here,
and each participant will receive a very small amount of "participation points" equal with everyone who participated...
[except for me- I will not be giving myself any points from the group].
The total amount points given out for these "participation points" will be kept under, what is usually spent on a Monthly Theme, just so you know!

Also, I MAY choose a few of these to copy over to the Featured Folder, but... I am not sure yet, if I will actually do that.

Introduction
Before you apply, please know that volunteering for a large and active group here on dA, such as Unframed-Nature is a real and true commitment, which will take up some of your time on at least a weekly basis, maybe more.
Unframed-Nature is special in many ways, but from an Administrative view point, it is very special because we have always had good luck with our current Administrators, most of which have been with the Group, as Administrators, for a very long time.
We are a very friendly Team, both with each other, and with the Members, as well. This means when we do have to decline works, we do give a reason, and we are friendly about it.  It means, that upon occasion if there is something that we disagree about within the Admin. Team, we disagree nic

And remember, it is NOT as formal as it looks, and of course you do NOT need to know everything,
but it is a very helpful tool for us to assess who might know what.

Our Group’s Upcoming THEMES

FEBRUARY 2013 - Our Group's First THEME of 2013!
Heart-Shaped Nature



Opens: Feb. 1st, along with our other five original Folders!
Closes: Feb. 28th

ONE Entry per Member!
Submit One Entry that contains a visible and obvious HEART within Nature or made from Nature.
It should either be a heart that is occurring Naturally, or at least one that appears Natural- such as if it has been "placed" there, like in a photo-manipulation, as long as it is a HEART that looks Natural, OR
it COULD be a heart that is created using materials FROM Nature, such as in a Conceptual or Still Life piece.

This theme is great for a wide variety of Art-Media, which is good, since we are an ALL-Media group!
This idea can be represented with photography, traditional, digital, photo-manips., fractals, animations, etc.,
it could even be presented in literature, by writing about hearts found in Nature!

Common examples of this are:
heart-shaped leaves, flower petals which are heart-shaped- usually with using two petals, two flowers that appear to make a heart shape, two pine cones together, leaves or other things in Nature placed in the shape of a heart, an animal lying down in what looks like the shape of a heart, two or more animals which when placed or laying together are making a heart shape, two or more insects which when close together create a heart shape, heart-shaped clouds, a heart seen within the refraction of a water drop, and probably MUCH MORE!
