With this B-Day gift from my dear friend, Brian, he cleverly designed a Contest/Game,
where anyone who commented with a "Title" for the image, he would donate 20 points each to somewhere/s of my choosing.
What a great way to raise some points for one or two groups or people!!

I will be noting him soon, with where they will go!

And the "Title" that won, of my choosing, would receive a feature or two, somewhere.

I offered to feature the winner, and so here it is:
with "How YOU Doin'" simply because I used to always watch the show "Friends", and sometimes, the re-runs, too, because it was always one of my favourite T.V. shows! And everytime "Joey" would say "How YOU Doin'" I would laugh, and the phrase also became an inside joke with a couple of my own friends... and I just cracked up when I saw it as a suggestion for THIS title, and thought it worked very well!

As many of you know, I usually don't write on my journals about much that is personal,

I'm not used to sharing things publicly, that are personal, let alone dedicating a whole journal to it.
But... being that we live very far away from any sort of family, and have made so few local friends since moving here,
I feel a therapeutic need to put together a little something here, on dA, where this has been the only online community I have been visiting for almost five years now... it has become a type of family for me...
And I hope it is okay to say so.
I was away from dA, for a while again recently...
... and I know that some of you already know why, because as I've been trying to come back, I have been answering my notes, and whoever has left me notes during the time I was away, I told of these happenings.
Also, though it was not explained in any sort of detail, as to why I was not here for my commitments at my m

I have received a lot of kindness and support in regard to what has been a difficult time for me.
I thank each one of you for your supportive comments, notes, emails, etc.,
MORE than any of my words could ever say!

My last day on dA [and the internet, in general] is: Dec. 17th.
I will be away completely for at least two weeks...

The reason I'm writing this journal is because miscatting has become quite a popular practice on dA and as such it needs to be addressed from time to time. Before a new Icon-CV had been appointed (say hi to ^ValaSedai as the new Icon-CV!), I had discussed with ^ClefairyKid about writing up a small journal (though likely text-wall) about the importance of correctly submitting icons and pixel art.

Every single day, `The-Lantiis will get online in the morning, update the wishlists, update the database, and pull from the ENTIRE DATABASE three names. She will submit those names to her team who will verify, starting with the first name drawn, that the accounts are still active and within the rules of our group. ONLY ONE wish will be granted (or none if all the users are in violation of our policies which shouldn't happen since we just did a massive clean-up in November). The two members whose wish was not granted simply get added back into the database for future drawings as though their names were never pulled.
