Gallery Folders | The Shelter Project- Cats and DogsIt began during the Summer of 2010. Anyone may purchase a Print/s OR a Hand-crafted Greeting Card or a Stationery Set, directly from Tea Photography©, that represents an Image of a cat or dog... or more rare, ANY OTHER animal, bird, insect, mollusk, etc., found HERE: MORE information with PRICES is also found on my personal website Tea Photogaphy . And while you CAN order from there, the complete images available to you are here. Paste the links from dA into the order form, and voilá! A portion of the proceeds WILL BE DONATED to: The South Coast Humane Society, where I now volunteer, since Summer of 2011. Additionally, I am the photographer, taking the photos of their animals for the area's newpapers: The Pilot and The Triplicate. This also involves getting the photos up onto their FB page, and also onto their page at petfinder.com, which is a project I've taken over now for petfinder.com. I also do a number of other things, in volunteer work, too. Fostering strays, kittens, trapping ferals for spay/neuter and release, and volunteering at special events... As my friends and family know, and my closer dA friends, I started volunteering with foster care groups, local pet adoptions and animal shelters since March of 2009 in the middle of California, an area of the US known to be especially economically depressed. As a result, pet abandonment, has been at an all time high. It is similar where I am now in Oregon. Abandoned/stray and feral cats are especially a problem. We've been working on the issue within our own neighbourhood. Since I've been volunteering for 3 years now, I've been able to see just how HUGE the needs are. It is why I wanted to help out in OTHER ways, as MUCH as possible. So I began combining my passion for art with my compassion for helping animals, and that's how The Shelter Project was born. PLEASE feel free to NOTE ME, or E-MAIL me at teaphotography@mac.com. for any questions or assistance you may need. Thank you for loving animals like I do. Hmmm, since I was gone for a while, it seems I can't find which news article, it could be in.
I would be happy to see it, though, so perhaps link to me in a note? Only because it takes me so much longer to see comments/replies. If you have done this, your group will become an affiliate of the project, and from time to time will get recognition for having promoted the project. Awww, it sure took me a while to see this comment, but I do have some photos of some older cats... one of our very own will be 15 this Spring. She's our own oldest.
I'm sure a few from the shelters are at least 10, also. |
