Dedicated to the following really wonderful people for certain ways that they've been supportive to me, in recent times:
Thank you tons for the support you've all shown!!
These are four of the seven kittens born to Dixie, as described here:
These kittens at The South Coast Humane Society
and soon-to-be, MANY MORE, are available to be placed on hold for adoption. We have begun to advertise them, such as in the above photo, for the newspaper, last Saturday, and on our Petfinder.com and FB.
I believe that from Dixie's litter of seven, the three girls, have had holds placed on them, before advertising began, but not the boys. Not sure why- they all look just as cute.
But hopefully they will all be adopted soon when the time comes...
Soon after Dixie's kittens were born, we had two other mamas give birth in our kitten room... litters not as big, but then recently, two moms were brought in with NINE kittens between them, and this is just the beginning!
It's a long story, but throughout all of this, one of the other kittens born in the kitten room, was rejected after the mom ignored the first two... leaving her with only two left...
So we took that one, since no one was on duty, when the first two were rejected..
And, I have been bottle-feeding it since it was 3 days old, night shift, every 1-2 hours...
among many other things that needs to happen for it, at this stage. It's day 13 days now, and we still have a long way to go...
This is just ONE of many reasons... that I have been more exhausted than what is my definite usual.
I can't focus on anything, and I can't tell night from day, and I am having trouble trying to work, and a lot of projects coming up fast.
Ah well, such is life.
Well, I guess I'm doing the best I can, and the kitten... is overall doing the best it can do, despite the circumstances! It is VERY STRONG, and has much will to live.
But its already had an EYE infection, before its eyes even opened! And other things... but the wee thing IS a survivor, and we are pullin' for it-- (I really hate calling it, an "it", but we are not 100% sure... though we do THINK it's a boy.
~~~~~~~~~[ NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any 's I may receive for this image. I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too.
It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for 's, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding.
And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too.
