Colossal Caves! I was happy to return to Colossal Caves, on this Tucson trip. There are many caves in the surrounding Tucson areas, just a couple/few open to the public, this one has been around for a while.

I have always LOVED caves.

There are a couple fairly close to where I live in California which I've traversed when younger,

My favourite of all times though, is Carl's Bad Caverns of New Mexico! It's by far the longest public trek I know of in this part of Earth, and even though it's amazing on the inside, my favourite part was waiting for the FLIGHT OF THE BATS, when the sun went down!!! Glorious.

[I do remember non-public caves when younger which my cousins in Missouri- I do have a few rellies there, too- took me into and through... wow, now those were some major hikes, my tailbone smarts again, just thinkin' about it. ]

This was from my annual trip to Tucson, Arizona- 2008,
first time via bus and train. It took a while.
