Speaking with my Eyes

This is for my very dear friend Jocelyne for many reasons... so many to enumerate...

But not just because she has been a purchaser in The Shelter Project, but that it amazes me how much she works incessantly in her continued promotions of The Shelter Project: [link] in her many News Articles. They're all SO beautiful, and I'm always amazed and touched at how much she works for the Project. And of course her ongoing promotion on her page...
She even thanks others for what THEY have done for the project! How "above and beyond" is THAT!

So Jocelyne, continues to amaze me with her utter and true love for BOTH The Shelter Project, and ANIMALS in general, touching my heart more than I am able to express!

I have been saving this image, that I've had meant for Jocelyne for a little while now, as Jocelyne loves ALL animals, cats of course, and definitely BLACK cats!

The black cat here, pictured with some buddies in the background is the same one as this one here:


He was nicknamed Scratcher [or Window-Washer] because he was always "Scratching" the windows to get OUT of the Shelter!

His real name is Donny, and he and his sister, Marie, both have grown up in the Shelter since they were wee kittens. Both are gorgeous sleek black cats, and neither had EVER been adopted since kittenhood to 1 year old.

Recently, a Rescue Group came through and took them, [and a few other "UNadoptables" ] and so hopefully they will have more luck elsewhere in a location where there are people a bit more open-minded.

I loved Donnie and Marie, just as much as Philippe, the black cat that I DID adopt, but Philippe was at "adult pricing" and they let me just have him, whereas, Donnie and Marie were always at kitten pricing, and I couldn't afford that.

But I watched Donnie and Marie grow up and I knew them well, and I wish them both MUCH luck wherever they are, they are beautiful, wonderful loving black cats. sigh...

And I feel it appropriate that Jocelyne who works so hard, as I do on the animals where I volunteer to find homes, to have this image as a dedication, because black cats are the hardest of the cats to be adopted!

And of course this is MOST of all, for Jocelyne's lovely friendship, plain and simple, and truly wonderful... and it feels as though I know her by now besides dA... and I am blessed.

Dear Jocelyne,
Your friendship abounds, and I'm lucky and blessed to be friends with someone like you, not just for what you do for me, as I've mentioned, but in the friend-ways that count. How you understand me, my ways, my issues etc., and you are patient and kind, a good listener, etc., i.e. a real friend. But I won't forget ANY of everything, ever! You are true gem, now and forever.
