Somewhere in Tibet Now... by TeaPhotography Somewhere in Tibet Now... by TeaPhotography
:bulletblack: No, this photo was NOT taken in Tibet. That's not what the title is referring to. This is purely a very conceptual piece, based on where I WAS at the time I DID take this photo, and what it currently very much so represents to me in my life... :aww:

Somewhere in Tibet Now

i feel like i've ridden them all-
all the roller coasters there are in this crazy world

and then some.

when i was young, some of them were fun
but other kinds of roller coasters just trapped me
when i should have forever run...

and oftentimes,
i'm on more than one, at once.

how's that even possible?

but it is- to be pulled
that much, in every which way, and place...
and everything sloping downward all at once.

and i thought i'd finally struggled off of one
haggard and worn,
that cold dark desolate [summer] day

only to find it haunting me
forever
in every possible way...

i'm so ready for a mountain in tibet
as far away as i could ever get
a flat-top place where i could sit
and meditate with air that doesn't make me sick...

instead i'll keep going within
to create a haven inside my mind
and breathe in and out.
counting all that IS kind.

it's the best i'll get
to my mountain in tibet.

[NOTE: I just wanted to say, in advance, how especially grateful for anyone's :+fav: I may receive for this image. :thanks::aww::rose: I am honoured that you would enjoy or think well enough of my work here, to :+fav: it. So I thank you :thanks: profusely, and from the bottom of my heart  . And because I do realize time constraints all too well, I understand, if you are unable to also leave a comment. :aww: However, whichever you may do, [or even both! :omg: ] I genuinely appreciate it beyond measure. I need you to know this now, in case I'm not capable of doing individual thank-you's for :+fav:'s, which I've not been capable, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. :thanks:
 And even if you just came to view! :eyes: I am also very HAPPY :D for this! :w00t: ]

very beautiful, did you use a colour filter when taking this black and white picture? The sky has come out in all it's glory in it alongside the main object of interest so perfectly.

This is great! I used to love roller coasters but not so much anymore. Your poem, however, is about much more than roller coasters.

Beautiful shot! It somehow reminds me of the game "Fragile Dreams ~Farewell Ruins of the Moon~" for the Wii, but just before I read your words to this image. Those give the image some unique feeling to it.

Yes, the image alone DOES definitely provide a certain set of thoughts, feelings, perhaps memories...

And THEN, well, of course the words then can add some other conceptual thoughts and feelings about life's roller coasters... and then you've got something else there. :aww:

Thanks for your awesome comment, and as always your great support.

I agree with Catch-22. And I love the fact you went beyond capturing a roller coaster. You've taken it to a whole new level (no pun intended)
On another note, I love the perspective in this. It gives the viewer the feeling that is much like being on the ride itself. Overall, excellent my friend!
