Nature's Stronghold by TeaPhotography Nature's Stronghold by TeaPhotography
This is dedicated to my long-time friend here on dA, Hish, for his BIRTHDAY!!!!
[which was on April 8th.... but I was gone for at least two weeks, and I think he understands... :aww: ]

:w00t: :boogie:  :cake:

I have known Hish for so very long on dA, and I have enjoyed his support and kindness, since the beginning!

This was taken around the NorthWest outer area of Tucson, Arizona when I was there during my FIRST trip I took, in February 2012.

There is such intriguing landscape all throughout the surrounding area of Tucson, Arizona, [and Arizona, in general] - it is always very amazing to me... it is just very different and interesting, and changes often.
The Nature of it, is often abstract looking in and of itself, and I love that about it. :aww:

For me, to see this image is to both feel strength, and send strength and protection out to anyone who sees it. :)

Here's a feature of Hish's very impressive work!

Dear Hish,
I have always appreciated your support very much, and
I want you to know that. Also, I hope for you the best in all that you are doing
in the coming year!
Your Friend, Tea

[ :note: NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any :+fav:'s I may receive for this image. :thanks: :aww: :rose: I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to :+fav: it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart  . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too. :aww:
It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for :+fav:'s, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. :thanks:
And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too.
:w00t: ]

I didn't think so, though you do have some very unique plants and animals to your own region, yourself... however!
These cactus, called saguaro, and well, most all of cactus are very particular to this area of the county, and down into the northern part of Mexico. So it really isn't common just anywhere in the world...
very unique, really. :aww:

Thanks, glad you like it, Sandy! I appreciate your support, MUCH!

Nope you do not! ;)
But I'm sure plenty of the cowboys of the "Old West"
have been injured by the cacti of the desert!
There are plenty much more that are much lower on the ground.

Yes, indeed! These are very particular to this region of the USA, and also in the Northern area of Mexico- the Sonoran Desert, just south of this border here where I was... The cacti you see here, called Saguaro, and all cacti is not common anywhere else in the USA, but just in this very particular area Arizona, and that area of Mexico. :D

It was a very cool place to be...
Though I am very much more a water person, I admit to being in awe of the desert when I am there... it is magical in its own way. :aww:

I wasn't actually Saguaro National Park on this trip, though I have been there many times, since my family lives in Tucson, and many of my relatives always have... but, I was kind of close to it, I think. :)
But, I was just hiking in the desert, no where too far off of a main road, so I wasn't unsafe. :aww:
Thank you! :D
Arizona is very beautiful, yes.
