My Own Richard Parker by TeaPhotography My Own Richard Parker by TeaPhotography
Dedicated to my dear friend and brother Mel :iconarte-de-junqueiro:
for his BIRTHDAY on August 30th!
:cake:

Mel is a good person, with a warm-hearted way about him, and it's been a joy to know him on dA! :rose:
He has supported "The Shelter Project" in a BIG way... and he especially likes,
WINSTON, one of my two ferals, photographed here above!
:iconcatlaplz:

Yes, his name is Winston! Our other feral is Raya... we official care for them, with some support from our local humane society where I do all of my volunteer work, after they did neuter and spay each of them, through our TNR Program-- (One of MANY things which "The Shelter Project" helps to fund)
of course, WE had to do the trapping and releasing part. ;)

Anyway,
NO, his name is NOT "Richard Parker" :aww:

If anyone as seen the film, or read the book "The Life of Pi"
then you will understand the title!

And if you have NOT, I HIGHLY recommend it...

Just recently saw this fascinating film, and I can NOT stop thinking about it! :D

Here's an interesting Youtube video about it:

The Life of Pi- Richard Parker

Feature of Mel's magnificent work:

Dear Mel,
You've been an amazing friend to me,
and I will always remember it!
I hope your birthday and year ahead,
will be wonderful, like you!
 Tea

[ :note: NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any :+fav:'s I may receive for this image. :thanks: :aww: :rose: I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to :+fav: it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart  . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too. :aww:
It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for :+fav:'s, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. :thanks:
And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too.
:w00t: ]

Your gray kitty looks SO much like ours - what's really interesting is the "v" notch in his left ear - ours has a similar notch in his right ear - I always thought it was the result of an injury, but now I wonder if it is hereditary to his breed? or something like that... our cat adopted us... no idea where he came from.
