Description

Dedicated to a very dear and long-time friend Surglo :iconsurrealistic-gloom:

:icongiveroseplz:

Surglo has always been one of those types of friends, where it feels like I've known her lots longer than I actually have.
:XD:

Thing is, Surglo, is someone I would describe as an "all-aspect" friend.
Despite how busy things can be, or what kind of our own personal stuff we are dealing with, we seem to always be able to "pick up where we left off" and we seem to understand each other and the things we've been through, and even if we don't know all the details of every little thing in life.

Surglo, has been supportive of me, in all areas of my life, and sometimes I feel perplexed when I think about something like this... but that's just difficult to explain- and as I mentioned in another recent image upload of mine, while I feel emotive, I just don't want to get too much that way, openly- and if I keep going, I just might! So I'll stop for now. :XD:

heart bullet. by valokilljoy Like me, I know that Surglo, loves Nature with a deep respect for it, and loves animals very much, too, (which is obviously also Nature) and especially cats, and even especially BLACK cats!

Morty the Magician

by Tea of Tea Photography

This is the story of Morty... Morty the Magician.  He liked to do magic- a lot of cats are actually pretty good at performing magic,
but as with all magicians, not all magic tricks go as planned...

For some odd reason, it had been decided for him at some point that he should wear some kind of collar and harness, outside...
it wasn't one of those "break-away" collars either, you know, the kind that if you should get stuck in something or stuck hanging from something- like say a TREE, as a cat that's allowed outdoors, might be want to climb,  such collar would simply pop off, so ya know, you don't... well... hang yourself.

Morty, being Morty, of course, felt that no matter what kind of trick he was given to perform, he'd could surely outwit such a magic circumstance of any challenge. After all, he was Morty. And Morty was a magician.

This time, wearing his permanent collar, with this additional harness, things apparently went horribly awry. At least not too many onlookers were around to survey the pesky process of escape, because one thing Morty really didn't like was being MORTified...

So not really knowing exactly what happened, Morty was found, after what appeared to be at least a couple weeks and maybe more with this unbreakable collar stretched, (not a stretchy collar), to its limits around his neck but up under one of his front arms cutting deeply and severely into the skin of his armpit. He was in so much pain, that he could not walk, on top of being excessively dehydrated. And the rest of the contraption, the catastrophe that it was, had him all wrapped up, cinched and tangled, digging deeply into his sensitive torso.

Well, Morty, was the not the escape artist he hoped he could be, bearing the burden of trapped-up-in-straps for who knows how long. But luckily he'd come to the right place... where ever-so-gently he was cut free from his binds, and his infected wounds would be treated carefully. Rehabilitation took a little while, while his gorgeous hair also grew back...  all the while he tried hard to trust the human hands helping him, which wasn't the easiest thing.  He acted quite brave, but you could tell he was nervous.

He knew he wasn't sure about magic anymore, unless he derived it all from himself. He knew that after a while, he'd give another home a chance, if he had a little help in choosing the right people for him.  He got stronger and more confident, and things got a lot better for Morty. Morty who does magic his own way.
And a new family visited one day...
Many things were explained, and Morty was happy to go home, because everything was going to be okay.

Morty was adopted from: www.southcoasthumane.org/
after his rather upsetting ordeal.
Morty was another one of those who had a Happy Ending!
