Keeping a Wary Watch

Dedicated to: Casey CRGPhotography for his BIRTHDAY which was just December 19th.
Though a bit late, I've been thinking of it a lot, especially as it was coming up!
After all, Casey made a wish for HIS Birthday on his Profile page... that instead of cakes etc., that his friends/watchers, donate points to the ongoing project: "The Shelter Project"... and yes there were those who did that for his birthday, thus benefiting the project - greatly moving and humbling me, by this surprising birthday wish. The creativity ideas and generosity that people come up with, can really blow my mind!

Casey, is someone, (like quite a few of you) who I'd LOVE to have the time to talk to more personally. He is an interesting person, with a BIG heart, lots of compassion for people AND animals, and who has a very resourceful mind, and of course very artistic- actually has improved LOTS since coming to dA, and that is always a joy to witness!

And obviously, in spite of not being have the chance I'd like to talk to him more, I feel he is a great friend. He's been supportive and encouraging. He's truly a super person.

Dear Casey, I can't thank you enough for everything... you really have been just awesome. Thank you for your incredible kindness toward me, and especially on behalf of the animals I try so hard to help. It can't be done alone, rather it does take a team.
I wish you and your family many blessings in return, 3-fold what you've helped dole forward, if it's meant to be. I celebrate you now and always. ~Tea

Photographed above is Raya, my first friend from almost 5 years ago now, when we first moved here- and one of two ferals who live permanently on our back porch. A few of you may remember Raya, and her partner Winston.
Tigles1Artistry and Arte-de-Junqueiro may likely be the most familiar with them, having received the most dedications of them. But my gallery does have several photos of each of them, and them together.

They were each spayed and neutered, long ago by now, and they are well taken care of, with everything they need on the back porch- pretty spoiled for ferals.

Here, Raya, is watching me cautiously, as I don't often "sneak" around this direction- though I've known her the longest, she continues to remain more skitterish and distrustful, than Winston, who I can pretty pick up and give belly rubs to by now- but only me. So even he continues to be considered feral.
