I just feel so passionate about peace. I have for as long as I can remember. And I think that many people I know, feel the same way. But it all just BOGGLES my mind so greatly! I just don't understand so many things yet. I feel like, if everyone on this planet could truly believe in and want peace, that there would be no be no hatred, violence, and wars to begin with.

With such subjects, I feel my age... that I've been around long enough to not just KNOW history but to see it time and again, war after war... and violence, gang violence in our own streets and hometowns.... :hmm:

While, this photo shoot, is mainly about coming to terms with my own personal traumas that have seemed to occur in groups each year, for the last good many years of my life,
the aforementioned statements about peace are issues which weigh so heavily upon me, I feel they go equally hand in hand.

:peace:

:bulletblack: On December 30th, 2009 we did our last photo shoot of the year. This time, I was inspired heavily by the art of music and combining it big time with photography and photo-art.

There is now, a series of photos from this day, which reflect upon and symbolize greatly the letting go of a very difficult and challenging year, to say the least, and with much mustering, yet again, the renewal of hope, for what is to be a year that is better than the last.

If anything, the very ACT of performing this day, was extremely therapeutic, and of itself felt so worthwhile.

Now, I will always have certain particular challenges... and I have to realize this and accept that, and sometimes it makes accomplishing certain tasks and goals more difficult, or takes me longer... however, I do have some things in 2010 which I am pretty excited to hopefully get going with.

I hope I can do some of these- they are big and important, and I just want to have the chance to try, during 2010. :fingerscrossed:

I recently uploaded a photo with the lyrics of: GLORIA by Green Day my favourite song of 2009!

However, ever since this OTHER song came out, 14 years ago... by a band who I believe has likely become my all-time favourite band, I become pretty obsessed with this OTHER song, around this time of year, beginning with middle of November all the way through January.... every year.

Tough years. But still follow through with some bitterish-sweet hope. :aww:

The photo shoot is inspired by Adam Duritz' [of Counting Crows] timeless words and music of A Long December...

[There will likely be some other photos... I don't know which I will choose or how many, but I think they'll end up in a sub-gallery of their own... ]

Beautifully written, and so true! Your comments message touched me, because since the longest time I can remember, this has always been my passion too and goal if life...to pay peace forward. I remember when I was little being so sad that there wasn't peace in the world and that's all I wished for, besides the cure for hunger!
