Description
This is a photo of my Grandma Jean when she was just sixteen.
So, about 1935.
[ June 23rd, 1919 - March 22, 2012 ]
I just saw her on Feb. 26th, for the last time, when I took that recent trip to Tucson, and not even a month later she passed away...
Read more here:
I have several old photos of my Grandma, actually, and "Jean Sweet Sixteen" is one of my absolute favourites!
We JUST recently got a scanner, from a friend here who was going to sell it at a garage sale, the DAY after my Grandma passed... [life is strange sometimes]
which has made lots of things easier for us, including scanning old photos of Grandma, and other photos, [plus business stuff... ]
I only edited this slightly, to restore it just a bit- cause I wanted to keep it looking as original as possible-- and yet the original is faded somewhat, of course.
I feel I have maintained the balance.
I am fortunate that I have many photos of my grandma through the years, mostly with me, growing up.
She was there with, and for me, since the beginning, which isn't that easy, when you've never lived physically near by... but a lot of traveling was always involved.
Holidays, events, and taking trips... I'll always be grateful.
She was an amazing Grandmother and a dear, delightful friend.
Feel free to check this out; it is simple, and cheerful:

[ NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any 's I may receive for this image. I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too.
It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for 's, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding.
And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too.
