Description

Dedicated to very dear friends: :iconphilippel: and :iconjocelyner:
for being the very first people on dA to become official dA affiliates of The Shelter Project
through purchases and promotions starting, 3 and a half years ago!!! :la:
:icongrouphugplz:

AND, they continue to be very supportive, even today, all of which I will forever and ever be so grateful for everything.

Obviously, they LOVE animals, but they are known to tend to have soft spots for especially black kitties...

:bulletblack: Here is a recent story about one such black kitty:

This is Krissie, at The South Coast Humane Society one of a litter of black, and black & white kittens brought in as a very small litter of kittens. She's been available for adoption for a while by now. Krissie has already been advertised on Petfinder and FB, but we are adding this new photo, and using this one for her first newspaper debut soon.

Krissie is the last one left to be adopted from her group, and she's growing up fast. It's hard enough to be adopted as an all-black cat, and we do have other adult black cats, who have been with us for a while. :hmm:
The extra "issue" for sweet Krissie, is that she has very unique looking ears! :aww:

In this case, nothing bad had happened to her... no one did anything mean to her ears. She was simply born this way, with odd looking ears which grow very little hair on top of them, or even inside of them.
Hmm.

And unfortunately for her, this is a big drawback for getting her adopted, on top of being all-black.
Most people would rather their cats have perfect, OR, at least nearly perfect looking ears, and not a cat with "funny looking ears".

Sadly, if they got to know her a bit, and played with her some, they wouldn't even notice anymore!

(:note: I mean, We don't really think about our one-eyed orange cat, Sha-Sha, as having one eye, on a daily basis. I mean you get used to it. They're just as lovely, playful, affectionate, as any other, would be! )

Krissie is so loving and friendly!!
She's rolls over, back and forth, begging for tummy rubbings. She loves to play, and she is very soft and cuddly. She loves to snuggle!

I just hope someone can look past her ears, or BETTER, see them as PART of her over-all ADORABLE self,
and give her the loving home she deserves!

[ :note: NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any :+fav:'s I may receive for this image. :thanks: :aww: :rose: I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to :+fav: it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart  . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too. :aww:
It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for :+fav:'s, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. :thanks:
And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too.
