Her name is Tinkerbell, named by the foster group. The paperwork says she's a year old. I'd seen her for three weeks here... which is considered moving toward the long side of things.

She's extremely timid, difficult to come to you, but seems to love it, if you come to her. She loves to be touched, pet, and brushed. Oh my gosh, she and I had so much fun just brushing her! She would bump her head up under my arm really hard letting me know how much she liked it and indicating it was okay to keep on brushing!

And she had such thick dense fur. It was almost hard to tell that she needed it, but what a difference it did make. I wonder if she felt lighter!

Well, my foster care group that I volunteer for is pulling out of PetSmart by 12-31-09... Sad news, yes! Dang politics, even in volunteer work Though, I was asked if I wanted to stay on to help with the OTHER foster group who IS staying with PetSmart!

I mean cats are cats, it doesn't really matter in THAT sense.
So I MAY still do that...

It's just my foster group has in the interim, become quite involved with a NEW animal shelter in the area. The lady of my foster group is calling me the weekend after Christmas, to set up a tour time for me with her there...

And I think I will likely begin volunteer work THERE. I'm not sure if it will be INSTEAD of at PetSMART with the other foster group, or IN ADDITION yet.

BOTH, would probably be AT LEAST double or more of what I do now. SO I'm thinking on this... I'll see how I feel after I see the shelter...

Depends on some personal issues..... some other things I'm also involved with... though I WOULD really like to make it all work,

and yet, I'm really concerned if the shelter can BE or maintain a "NO-KILL" status. THIS is also very very very important to me.


So that's what's new in my volunteer job situation!
