Dedicated to my very dear friend Cheryl

for her BIRTHDAY, which was just on July 22nd!

[So, I'm not very late.

]

Cheryl has been a most wonderful and dear friend to me, for a long time by now, here on dA. I just adore her to pieces, and I am a huge fan of her stunning work. She is extremely talented.

Cheryl also loves animals very much, and while she has been supportive of me and my work in general, she has supported all of my work for animals, too, in every way.

I know she especially loves my Sha-Sha cat,

and also Chihuahua dogs!

Abby, here, is a Chihuahua mix, who is ready for adoption at The South Coast Humane Society where I volunteer.
Abby's photo was in a recent Edition of "Adopt-a-Pet" in the areas' newspapers.

She really is lovely, and you can't beat those "flying ears" -
she'll make a great companion, for certain.

She represents the influx of all Chihuahuas and Chihuahua Mixes that inundate animal shelters all over. There are many of this kind of dog, due to a time of overbreeding, when they became popular, and now there are more of them, than there are homes. Despite the amount that show up at shelters, they are generally a breed and mix, that is also adopted rather quickly.

Abby has been adopted!

Seriously my dear, if anyone can bring some tears to my eyes it's you! I absolutely LOVE this precious gift. If I were closer, this little lady would be in my home. Not sure my other 3 furbabies would be too happy.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And I am SO sorry it took so long to see this. We have so much catching up to do!! Hopefully in the next couple days I will get some time to write.

Aw, you are so very kind, my sweet friend, to like your gift so much...
but I think of you truly often during my volunteer work time!

You are such an amazing friend, and person in general, for all the support that you give, and for your HUGE HEART!

I know you'd take Abby if you could...

I know what you mean, though, too, as there has always been a BIG adjustment period whenever we've gotten a new addition!

But usually, it all works out fine- sometimes it just take patience and persistence when working with them all.

But I DO have good news...
I have recently learned that Abby was recently adopted!
