This is for my Secret Santa Sara
from the Group . She is also a fellow-Administrator with me there and I really do love this growing Group that does a lot of fun Activities. I hope Sara likes this.
I *may* also enter this in #PetPicks "Santa's Little Helpers" Contest that is currently going on... Already a lot of nice entries- a really fun Contest!
It will likely be used as one of my personal Greeting Cards this year, AND is definitely ready for HOLIDAY GREETING CARDS for next year, to support The Shelter Project and therefore The South Coast Humane Society.
Malori is my 15 year old Beagle. She turned 15, this past October 11th, 2011. I brought her home with me 15 years ago THIS week. THIS is her 15th Christmas.
When she was a MUCH younger and VERY stubborn Beagle, getting into nearly EVERYTHING, we almost lost her several times, because of her crazy antics! She has been deemed "The DOG with NINE lives!" She seriously is a crazy Beagle.
We lost her "sister", her best friend, Canela Bella two years ago this past September, when Canela was over 14, and we still miss her... we just took out her stocking...
We didn't think Malori would make it THIS far, as she has been VERY ill for a long time. Early Summer of 2010, she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure... and apparently most dogs don't live past 6 month after such a diagnosis. Well, it's been 18 months, since Malori had her diagnosis.
She's on 2 specific meds for it, and another to keep her kidneys maintained, and she has treats specifically for joints.
She's had some close calls, and we've had some very bad weeks with her, and then she just pops up for a while and keeps on with some better weeks and good days. The old girl seems to have some LIFE left in her!
She actually looks better here, than in her last uploaded photo. We all have good days, and not-so-good-days.

We are Santa's Elves by Burl Ives
Ho ho ho. Ho ho ho. We are Santa's elves.
We are Santa's elves, Filling Santa's shelves With a toy For each girl and boy.
Oh, we are Santa's elves. We work hard all day, But our work is play. Dolls we try out, See if they cry out.
We are Santa's elves. We've a special job each year. We don't like to brag. Christmas Eve we always Fill Santa's bag.
Santa knows who's good. Do the things you should. And we bet you, He won't forget you.
We are Santa's elves. Ho ho ho. Ho ho ho. We are Santa's elves. Ho Ho!
Lyrics & YouTube both HERE: [link] Talk about a classic... [Once upon a time, in another life, I found myself teaching this song every year, to a bunch of another type of "elf" to be performed, with a few other songs. ]
