Expressing Thanks

A little Thank-You dedication to these friends who participated in "The Five for Five Feature":







This is one of two ferals, Winston, who we take care of permanently, who lives on our back porch, and have each been neutered [Winston], and spayed [Raya].

Even though I met Raya just slightly before meeting Winston on our property just after moving in exactly two years ago... Raya, the small girl tabby, remains more skitterish than Winston.

I can get close to her, and pet her while she's eating her food,
but I can't touch her at any other time.

But with Winston, it is actually like he has become completely domesticated, but only with me, and only on our back porch.

I can pet him, pick him up, play with him, scratch his belly... and he is ever kind to me, as one of my indoor cats- but ONLY to me, and ONLY on the back porch.

While he does follow me closely around the yard, he won't come up all the way to be touched, the way we are on the back porch.
