I would like to dedicate this to my friend Tess *SanibelRoo for her bIRTHdaY this WEEK of FEBRUARY!!!!
I don't know the exact date, but she DOES say that it IS *THIS WEEK*
Tess held a beautiful Pet Contest, "The Holiday Pet Contest" the results of which are still up, on her journal, which ended the end of Decemeber 2009.
We share a common interest in the well-fare of animals and pets and their humane and very kind and loving treatment!
I had this portrait of my most mysterious cat Zorra done in December... with the title in mind "Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover" because of how she is the very sweetest of all my cats however, when you can catch her in a photo, always comes out looking so fierce and mean.
But this is NOT true of Zorra at all. Zorra is also the cat of most mystery of all of our cats. We know the least about her background and she exudes the most mystery, too. She is the least visible and social as well. Her eyes are the most sensitive to light, too.
Tess, *SanibelRoo LOVES pets, too, OBVIOUSLY, so I just finished this photo for her birthday! I hoped it might be a good one to do.
Dear Tess, Thank you for all of your wonderful support and friendship. I just really want you to know how much it means to me. I truly hope things can be good for you, and that you have a most delightful birthday, and not only on the DAY of your birthday, but that you have many many great and lovely days to come in the following year! Thanks for everything! Your Friend, Tea

[NOTE: I just wanted to say, in advance, how especially grateful for anyone's I may receive for this image. I am honoured that you would enjoy or think well enough of my work here, to it. So I thank you profusely, and from the bottom of my heart . And because I do realize time constraints all too well, I understand, if you are unable to also leave a comment. However, whichever you may do, [or even both! ] I genuinely appreciate it beyond measure. I need you to know this now, in case I'm not capable of doing individual thank-you's for 's, which I've not been capable, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. And even if you just came to view! I am also very HAPPY for this! ]

Good thing I read your comments because one of the first things that popped to mind when I saw this was "ooooh, now that's a glare." lmao Maybe she just doesn't like you taking pics of her? I know one of my cats gets a disgruntled look on her face if I start taking pics of her again. And then I have two other cats who just have to help me with any of my photography lmao
Now that I look back at the picture, the look is almost a scolding mother look rofl We have two calico cats ourselves, and one of them, when I was a kid, would always come down to wherever I was at 9 pm and meow at me rudely as if saying "it's time for bed." So I'd run off for bed, and she would join me in my bed right beside me. Once I was asleep, she would leave my room with (as my mom said) a look that said "whelp, my job's done." lmao
Thanks for your response! I loved it! I love hearing/reading and sharing stories. I actually like to read artist comments. You never know what might be there to give a whole new perspective as to what's really going one! There's a story behind every photo, right? Wellll, usually.
ANyway, I really enjoyed what you shared! It was funny!
As for my cat here, she really does just always kind of look like this.
Her nature is so sweet, but her look is just glowering like that. That's why I always explain that she just looks like that, but really is not. Looks can be deceiving after all.
Well, thanks again! I loved hearing about your two calicos!
you're welcome lmao I know how your cat feels about people thinking she looks mean/angry. I've had many people ask others if I'm pissed when my face is neutral
