Deep in Your Heart Year-Round by TeaPhotography Deep in Your Heart Year-Round by TeaPhotography
Probably last holiday photo... had a few more, of a variety, but it's getting late.
This is a good last one, [and perhaps I'll start early with the others... :aww: ]

It was the first time in a long time that we put up the "big tree" as it just too hard, plus with all the cats, though given all of them, they aren't too bad. ;)

However, we wanted to make the most we possibly could out of our first Holiday in our new home since moving... :aww:

We really did all we could to enjoy it. :)
Lots of homemade Winter soup, and good holiday movies. :aww:

It was, and IS not about the presents or the number of them-- as you can see we only had/have few...
and we are always so grateful.
Many have far less.

It is about the joy of just being able to BE, and live, and be glad with what we ARE able to have.
It is about friendships, companionship, family... even if they are many many miles away....
and about love, joy, and that daily peace- the inner-peace, and HOPE for peace in the world.

Sometimes, some people do get depressed after the Holidays...
Maybe cause some of the magic seems to fade, or family departs.

But, depending on whatever anyone might acknowledge or celebrate during the Holiday Season,
perhaps by trying to keep the Spirit of all that is positive and joyous, Deep in Your Heart Year-Round, might bring a smile or two, to remember the Holidays at ANY time, until it is time again...
 :holly:

[ :note: NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any :+fav:'s I may receive for this image. :thanks: :aww: :rose: I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to :+fav: it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart  . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too. :aww:
It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for :+fav:'s, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. :thanks:
And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too.

This year wasn't as good for us, even with our son having it as his first. Just too much happening, not enough money, and time to make things as special as they should have been for him. Luckily he won't remember it.

As for the kitties, only Zoey has a penchant for nibbling on the lowest branches. A friend's newly adopted girl tried to climb, and knocked over thier tree, breaking several of the handmade ornaments that thier now 40 some year old children made. Very sad.

It is not too late, the magic of the Holidays is not entirely gone, yet!
I hope you have had a nice Christmas day and peaceful Holidays with Scott and your dear pets! Beautiful image!

This is such a wonderful photo! I love what you wrote too. It is so very true. It sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas just enjoying your new home and your family and the love you share. No present can make up for that! A lot of people (myself included) sometimes forget that so many people do have far less. I think a lot of people do get depressed at Christmas because they expect all these things are going to make them happy but they really don't. Because of the economy, we buy a lot less and I don't miss the presents at all. I didn't mean to go on and on, I just think this is such a beautiful photo and beautifully expressed sentiment too! :icontinyheartsplz:

Thank you Cecilia, I really appreciate it, both on the photo and with regard to what I wrote, because it is in the whole of it all, that it is so very meaningful for me. [I don't mind that you "went on" as I tend to, plus I never mind to read what others think, as how else can you get to know them more? :) ]
I think that YES, what you said is definitely a big reason why a lot of people do get depressed at Christmas. So true! Expectations... and then there's just a let-down.
I think without so much of all of "that" it actually should help in focusing on what is really more important. And then maybe one can focus on these such things at other times of the year. :aww:

Thank YOOOOU for sharing.'s
