As a few of you might know or recall, we adopted a new dog this past Summer from the humane society here...
She was already named Daisy, and it fit her very well, being that she is yellow and white, like a Daisy.
She had the worst back-story, of any dog I've heard of... which as a result was making her very un-adoptable...
For more info. you can read in the photo below...
We decided to take her, as we had found out, from an earlier "vacation" to our house for a couple days, that she was very good with cats, so everything else just needed some work.
She's been to some socialization classes, which have helped her learn how to get along with other dogs, and even more, she is a lot better around men, now!
She is such a sweet and loyal dog, who wants nothing more than love and affection!
Though she has improved a lot, we still have some work ahead... but in good time, it will all be worth it.
Daisy's holiday dream has been filled: to belong to a loving home!
So, now she will have her first Christmas with us...
Though I am happy she knew Malori for a little while, of course I wish she could have spent more time with her...
But I guess it's just how things go.
Taken this Summer, not long after adopting her:
Her adoption photo:
White Christmas I'm dreaming of a white Christmas Just like the ones I used to know Where the treetops glisten and children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write "May your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white"
This was my grandma's [my dad's mom's] favourite Christmas song... though probably the old Bing Crosby, version. I always think about that, when it's the holidays.
