And when the day is done...
don't forget your sound guy
your video guy, your photographer
your lights crew and stage manager, too.

don't forget the guy insisting
on carrying your stuff...
because you've exhausted yourself for hours
and banged yourself up walking in potholes
and everything's hit upon your hips...

don't forget he's one in the same
the whole support system
all the crap you go through
and all the wild but seemingly necessary ideas and projects...

and don't forget everything you've learned
and needed to get out of this day you've been planning
and take it with you into the 2010
and close your eyes all the times you need it...

just try to remember and gather the strength
when everything is way more than you thought it'd be,
once again
when it's all becoming way too much
when it's time to stop and just breathe...
and hope that "this year will be better than the last..."

somehow
some way...

On December 30th, 2009 we did our last photo shoot of the year. This time, I was inspired heavily by the art of music and combining it big time with photography and photo-art.

There is now, a series of photos from this day, which reflect upon and symbolize greatly the letting go of a very difficult and challenging year, to say the least, and with much mustering, yet again, the renewal of hope, for what is to be a year that is better than the last.

If anything, the very ACT of performing this day, was extremely therapeutic, and of itself felt so worthwhile.

Now, I will always have certain particular challenges... and I have to realize this and accept that, and sometimes it makes accomplishing certain tasks and goals more difficult, or takes me longer... however, I do have some things in 2010 which I am pretty excited to hopefully get going with.

I hope I can do some of these- they are big and important, and I just want to have the chance to try, during 2010.

I recently uploaded a photo with the lyrics of: GLORIA by Green Day my favourite song of 2009!

However, ever since this OTHER song came out, 14 years ago... by a band who I believe has likely become my all-time favourite band, I become pretty obsessed with this OTHER song, around this time of year, beginning with middle of November all the way through January.... every year.

Tough years. But still follow through with some bitterish-sweet hope.

The photo shoot is inspired by Adam Duritz' [of Counting Crows] timeless words and music of A Long December...
