Description
She was almost eight here-
two months shy- [therefore the title with the double musical meaning... ]
when my niece, Maria Jean, who is also my goddaughter, played for me a song, when I visited my family in Tucson, Arizona the FIRST time, in February. She had performed it at her church a few months previously.
She actually turned 8 on April 10th.
And I used this for her Birthday Card!
[Some of you are realizing that I just barely got back, after having to go BACK to Tucson for another, and sudden trip, and even though the 2nd trip was unexpected, I did get to spend my niece's 8th birthday with her, something that never has happened before. ]
It was called "Swans on the Lake"- a fairly common beginning piano song,
from John Thompson's Modern Course For the Piano
which can be found, HERE: [link]
[I have not found lyrics... ]
It's not her... I wish I could share an audio, also... but I don't have that, however, she DOES sound like it.
She does a great job, and is past this "level" in her piano studies at this point.
I wanted to share something different, as I try to do at times.
I want to take a moment to thank my friends/supporters here on dA, for the kind support I had received before I left on my 2nd trip to Tucson, Az.
I have only just returned, and the continuing support I have found, has been very helpful and much appreciated.
I really welcome your patience and understanding very much so.
There's still a lot for me to do in all areas, and I am doing my best.
Thank you. You're all absolutely wonderful!

[ NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any 's I may receive for this image. I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too.
It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for 's, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding.
And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too.
