Dedicated to J-L for his BIRTHDAY which was Aug. 27th [Yes, it's belated but I think he'll understand!].
John-Luke has been a really great friend to me since meeting him on dA, in various ways, such as supporting The Shelter Project in every way possible, and all of his super work at #Unframed-Nature.
This is Daisy, who had been up for adoption at The South Coast Humane Society and was first photographed there, with this photo HERE: [link] which was put in the newpapers as a "Pet-of-the-Week" and also up onto PETFINDER.COM and FB.
Well she was finally adopted... BY US!
You can see more info. about her at the above link, but she had been very badly abused and while pregnant on a one foot rope outside!
Because of this, she is still afraid of men, but has already come such a long way with this.
Most of her work lies in leash training, and even though she is almost 2 years old, every single thing is brand new for her. We all have a lot of work to do, but it will be worth it.
She is such a good sweet dog, who wants nothing more than kind attention and affection!
Plus she loves our cats, and they... kind of sort of tolerate her.
She also loves our nearly 16 year old Beagle, Malori, though we are not sure what Malori thinks.
We've also seen video of her puppies and also of her giving birth to them at the humane society. They were all adopted as soon as possible.
But WE have the DAISY!
She is most likely a German Shepherd x Boxer and/or Lab. [She's pure sweetheart! ]
There's been lots of speculation!
A feature of J-L's wonderful work:
Dear J-L, I hope your B-DAY was great and that you'll have a great year ahead- many new things! I wish you well. Your Friend, Tea

Happy doggy. I like her smile. Hm... Maybe there's some Carolina Dog mixed in. I read they are perfect family dogs. Anyways, it's very kind and friendly to give a poor dog a new home, and she seems very relaxed and full of joy with you.
Thanks for you comment, sorry I am late to it, but I appreciate it! Yes, since posting this, I've had a couple others suggest she might be Carolina Dog. She had been a great addition to our family, and she is really happy nowadays.
That's interesting that you had a dog that looked so much like her.
