Caring Coast to Coast

Description

This was taken last September, and it is a view of a strip of coast looking south from Brookings, Oregon- the very first town on 101 just north of the California border- and toward the first town you get to on 101 in California that is the utmost north on the coast of California- which is Crescent City, California.

There is about 25 miles between these two towns, and it is a MOST lovely coast line.

However both of these towns of Brookings, Oregon and Crescent City, California sustained damage during the Tsunami of Japan.
It was reported that their waves were 9 to 10 feet.

Although, this is NOTHING compared to EVERYTHING that Japan went through, which is a million-fold greater and just unimaginable to us all!

There were a few other towns along the Oregon and California coast, which also sustained damage, [one such that I have gone to as much as a 2nd home- Santa Cruz, CA], but we think of the slightness in comparison, to everything that Japan has gone through, AND CONTINUES to go through...

Somehow, someday, things will settle down, but memories do last, and this tragedy is deeply severe, as we are aware.
We must as friends of and around the world, not only reach out in the beginning, but continue to remember them, as this will be ongoing for quite some time... :aww:

We can combat such travesties, through hope and caring from the rest of us around the world.

I'm sure we've all seen them already, but again here is a LINK to a page of donation locations:
HERE: :pointr: [link]

My other one: Path to High Hopes for Japan:

:note: I would be happy to donate to also :)
- let me know if you are interested in this one or either, as a Print or Greeting Card, and I would make arrangements to donate half of the proceeds to Japan.
I wish I could say all, but I would use the rest to actually produce the artwork [materials, etc.], and I would not be making anything from it.
Unfortunately, I just wouldn't be able to afford to donate more than half. It's the best, but the least I could do. :hmm:

But NO pressure, I at least wanted to dedicate some artwork to CARING about JAPAN!

Also, it is not too late to create ART in honour of Japan!

[NOTE: I just wanted to say, in advance, how especially grateful for anyone's :+fav: I may receive for this image. :thanks::aww::rose: I am honoured that you would enjoy or think well enough of my work here, to :+fav: it. So I thank you :thanks: profusely, and from the bottom of my heart  . And because I do realize time constraints all too well, I understand, if you are unable to also leave a comment. :aww: However, whichever you may do, [or even both! :omg: ] I genuinely appreciate it beyond measure. I need you to know this now, in case I'm not capable of doing individual thank-you's for :+fav:'s, which I've not been capable, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. :thanks:
 And even if you just came to view! :eyes: I am also very HAPPY :D for this! :w00t: ]

Love Crescent City and this shot. :) It is some beautiful country. The dunes just north of Crescent City have some nice views (looking east) of the coastal mountain range and beyond too.
Too pretty. Thanks for posting.
